MEMORY WALK
Our "Memory Walk" is a brick walk located in our campus rose garden.
An engraved brick may be purchased for $50.00 in honor of a person or group. Please contact Danielle Robinson at MacDonell Children's Services for more information.
MEMORIAL WALK
Our "Memorial Walk" is a double row of live oak trees on the MacDonell campus. For a minimum donation of $1,000.00, a tree will be named in honor of your loved one. A plaque commemorating the honoree is placed at the base of the tree. Please contact Danielle Robinson at MacDonell Children's Services for more information.
RECYCLED GREETING CARD PROGRAM
The children of MacDonell are given the opportunity of learning the value of free enterprise by making and selling recycled greeting cards. All profits from the sale of these cards go directly to the child who made them.
Each pack of ten cards sells for a donation of only $5.00, which is quite a bargain! Please call Stacey McCarty at (985) 868-8362 to order your cards today.
DONATE AN ITEM FOR OUR ANNUAL GALA
MacDonell's 23rd Annual Volunteer Activist Gala is being planned for April 13, 2007. Our "Blue Bayou" Gala features a live and silent auction.
You can help by donating an item or service for our auction. Your name and the item you donate will be prominently displayed in our programs, as well as on the Silent Auction tables at the Gala.
You might also consider joining us as a sponsor for this very special event. Please call our office at (985) 868-8362 for more information on Sponsorship Opportunities.
This is our only major fundraising event of the year. All proceeds from ticket and auction sales benefit the 36 children who reside at MacDonell.
ENDOWMENT FUND
A donation may be designated for our endowment fund. Only the income from the fund can be used by the agency, the fund remains intact to ensure MacDonell of a long future of helping children in need.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We are in need of volunteers to assist with fundraisers, mail campaigns and public relations activities throughout the year. If you would like to join our Volunteer Auxiliary, please call our office at (985) 868-8362.
LIGHT UP THE LIFE OF A CHILD THIS CHRISTMAS!
The Holidays---a beautiful time of remembering and caring, a wonderful time to be happily sharing the gift of love called Christmas. For Most of us, mention of the holidays brings back fond memories. The aroma of baking pies, decorating your home, shopping for special gifts...A magical time in our lives.
For the 36 chidlren who reside at MacDonell, their childhood memories are not as bright. Living away from the homes they knew in the past, these boys and girls miss out on so much of the joys that make Christmas special.
Together, we can brighten the lives of children who need this special, unconditional love. Like children everywhere, they would love to experience the thrill of gifts under the tree. It means so much to them to know they are not forgotten during this wonderful season.
Won't you share some of your blessings this Christmas? Please help light up the life of a MacDonell child. Any amount of monetary support or gifts from 6-16 year old children would be greatly appreciated!
